FxChain problem

    Hello, I'm using Neutrino 1.90 on Lion OSX 10.7 and started to have problems with the FxChain

    I can't use the FxChain at all
    I can't add nor edit any of the AU FxChain, the edit box won't appear at all
    I can add the Machine Codex FxChains but it freezes the songs,
    and when I try to use the preset FxChain, the whole song just stops and I have to force quit..

    I hope to resolve this problem soon as possible

    This issue seems to be exclusively related to the use of AU's provided by Apple as part of Lion OS; older third-party AU's that we've tested all seem to work OK, however things go haywire when adding any of the Apple AU's to the Fx Chain on Lion.

    Apple have changed several fundamental aspects of CoreAudio in Lion, in this case the issue is with the new AUPlugin format introduced in 10.7. Many of the archetypal pathways developers could use to interact with AudioUnits dating back to Tiger(10.4) are no longer catered for in the new plugin architecture, and it would seem that all / most of the Apple-provided AU's have been rewritten to the new standard.

    We are working on a fix for this issue, and hope to have a fully Lion-compatible version of Neutrino available for download soon, but for now, a way to restore restore audio-output after this sort of incident is to use the 'Reset Audio Engine' item in the 'Advanced' submenu of Neutrino's 'Help' menu.

    We'll post download details about a Lion-compatible build in the Announcements section of this Forum as soon as we have a beta-version available.

    Sorry for the delay, the recent release of muon has been absorbing a lot of our resources. We're still working through the issues for the Neutrino Lion FxChain update, which is progressing, but has not been going as smoothly as I had hoped. I promise we will have some news as soon as is humanly possible.
