no FLACs on SnowLeo / MacPro 5,1

    Hi there, I have downloaded and installed the components and the encoder/decoder libraries as described.
    Some Files doesn´t show a waveform but the ones with a waveform are not playing either.
    They are 48khz 24bit - tried AMS settings on 48 too which I´m sure I have never done before...
    The files can be played with VLC - could it be an incompatibility with a new version of VLC or so?

    Tried a lot - the files were playing some weeks ago.
    Permissions are repaired - any suggestions?

    Hi Stephan,

    Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I have gotten Flac playback working again by re-installing the Flac library and Flac components, it seems that some parts of the installation are not moved over when migrating from an earlier OSX installation to 10.7.x.

    You will need to re-install the Flac library:

    http://www.machinecodex.com/audiocodex/components/flac-1.2.1.dmg

    and also the Flac CoreAudio components:

    http://www.machinecodex.com/audiocodex/components/FLAC_CoreAudio.zip

    Note that I haven't given this a comprehensive test regimen as I 'misplaced' my small collection of FLAC reference files after some recent hard-drive failures, but for the handful of files I managed to scrape together playback worked once I re-installed the above... also note that you probably will need to quit & relaunch Neutrino if it is running while you do the installs.
