For FX i want to use stutter edit inside neutrino, but when i select it i see a blank screen without the program itself?! Please help!
Hi,
I haven't tested the Stutter Edit plugin previously, but I just downloaded the demo version and observed the same behaviour. On investigation, the reason for the failure is that the plugin reports that it has a Carbon view, but that view returns null when Neutrino attempts to create it. It would appear that something in the Carbon view is broken, as Apples own AULab also returns an empty view if the Carbon view is selected.
Stutter Edit does offer a Cocoa view, but Neutrino's heuristic for plugins that offer both types of views is to prefer the Carbon view, and Neutrino doesn't currently fall-back to attempting to load the Cocoa view if the Carbon view fails to load, something I will address in the next update.
However, even if Stutter Edit could display it's view in the current versions of Neutrino, it wouldn't function properly anyway, as this plugin requires external midi-control to trigger its effects, something Neutrino doesn't support.
Anyway, thanks for the report, sorry I can't offer any sort of workaround in this instance.
Mark
A quick note, in the latest Neutrino Beta I have worked around the issue with Stutter Edit so that this plugin can now be loaded... still no midi interface in Neutrino however, so I'm not sure how much you can do with this plugin in that situation.
Anyway, download details for Neutrino 1.91 Beta 2 can be found here:
