cloud enabled?

    Hi,

    Does dateline support the cloud feature? for instance, when i enter an event in dateline, even though the event is automatically entered in ical the problem is that, in order to sync that event using the cloud to my iphone it seems that I have to open ical every time. Can you please let me know if this can done natively on dateline or whether I should wait for dateline 2 in order to get this feature?

    Hi Jipster,

    Unfortunately DateLine only offers synching with shared iCal accounts directly through iCal. In other words, yes, you need to have iCal running to be able to sync.

    I don't anticipate that native synching (without iCal) will be a feature of DateLine at any time in the near future, as it would necessitate a reimplementation the entire CalDAV stack. Until someone releases an open source implementation of a CalDAV client, I'm afraid this will not be possible.
