Muon 1.1 Released
  • mantismantis November 2011

    Muon 1.1 has been released on the iTunes App Store.

    This update adds a bunch of new features and refinements including:

    * Improved visualizer response for 'quieter' musical genres and songs; classical music & opera, songs with extended intro's, low-mastered tracks all produce much more interesting visual forms and reactions.

    * Microphone / Line-In can now be set as the audio-source

    * Improved Editor functionality:

    - Audio-reaction remains enabled when entering Mutant Lab, making it usable as a 'live' editor
    - New Editor toolbar provides access to Audio-Reaction toggle, Mutate, Reset, and Freeze buttons
    - Editor parameter targets labels are colour-coded to indicate if the parameters are audio-reactive
    - Parameter labels are now constrained so that they cannot be auto-placed off-screen
    - Evolution remains disabled if the user switches from the Editor to the Textures or Mutants (presets) views

    * Faster loading of extremely large music collections, reduced memory usage.

    * Improvements to built-in Help / Info system, new info guides for each of the Visualizer settings patch-panels.

    This version also fixes several potential bugs:

    * Bugfix for crashes that could occur when attempting to browse an empty music library
    * Bugfix for crashes that could occur when attempting to browse an extremely large music library
