How to install DateLine Themes
  • alexalex October 2010

DateLine's appearance is fully themable. DateLine theme files (with the extension .dltheme) may be easily shared between DateLine users. The only caveat is that themes with Advanced features will not activate those features when they are installed in unregistered version of DateLine, for obvious reasons.

DateLine themes are stored at ~/Library/Application Support/DateLine/Themes

You can also find all the themes you have created at this path. If you make a theme you're really proud of and want to share, please feel free! Simply Start a New Discussion in the DateLine Themes category.

As of DateLine 0.962, .dltheme files are recognised by the Finder as belonging to DateLine. Double clicking on a .dltheme file will install it into DateLine by moving it to the appropriate folder.

    Hi,

What type of file is actually "dltheme" extension.
How the source code is saved?
Is there a template to star with?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi JTM,
dltheme files are xml property lists encoded in binary. You can open them using Apple's Property List Editor if you have the Developer Tools installed.
The best way to create and edit themes is using DateLine Preferences. Whenever you add a new theme, a file is created at the default location:
    ~/Library/Application Support/DateLine/Themes/

    Hope this helps,

    Alex
